Well, do they? My answer is absolutely not. According to research my answer is pretty much correct. Recent studies say that video games are positive interaction time for children in teens. think about it. What could be so bad about an adolescent staying inside and playing video games with his friends when he could be out wreaking havoc, doing drugs, partying, stealing stuff, etc.? Then, nothing is bad about video games. By children playing video games, it is a way for them to get all of that bad stuff and violence out of their system. Instead of actually doing the bad things like stealing or shooting, they do it on the game and therefore get it out of their system for the real world. o dive deeper into the subject there is a book out now called "Grand Theft Childhood."
As for the people that are still worried bout the violence that video games can put into their children's minds, all I have to say is don't buy them the violent games then. There are plenty of video games that don't have terrible acts of violence. But hey while you're at it make sure to tell your kids they can't watch Saturday morning cartoons anymore; we wouldn't want them beating each other up with bats like Tom & Jerry or blowing things up like the Roadrunner & Coyote.
The truth is I don't think any game ever has given me the idea to do something. The only ideas I get are the crazy ones from my imagination or the occasional ones from TV or movies. So for the people that think video games are making their childrens violent, i feel bad for them because they are just dilusional.

that makes a whole lot of sense
i mean i watched a bunch of r rated movies but i am not on a killing spree.
but i like your argument. its very strong considering that childrens shows are violent when you think bout it
i never think that just TV programs would make a kid go bad.it mostly depends on their parents and environment and etc.
I agree. In reality, video games just help us to be more imaginative and allow us to break down the framework of our imaginations to increase our chances of invention and new discovery.
I play video games myself and found this article very interesting. I think that some kids do take it over the edge but not most of them
I agree that there is a correlation between video gamers and people who commit violent acts. They desensitize us to commit crimes.
